As COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, becomes more widespread, we have made the difficult yet necessary decision to postpone our Annual Meeting scheduled for May 21.
This decision did not come lightly, however, based on the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control and other health officials, we feel it is necessary in order to protect the health and well being of our members and employees. While we do not know how long it will take to stop the spread of the virus, we do know we must do our part to help flatten the curve, and feel this measure is an important step.
Although we are disappointed we are not able to meet with you this May, we look forward to seeing you this fall on Thursday, October 8 at the Payne County Expo Center where we will celebrate our accomplishments for the past year and talk about future plans for your cooperative. We promise to do our best to make it the best annual meeting yet with fun for the entire family!
Please continue to watch our website, social media, your inbox and mailbox, and our newsletter for more information on annual meeting.
In the meantime, we want you to know that providing you safe, affordable and reliable electricity remains our primary goal. Although our doors are closed to the public for the first time in history, we remain fully operational and encourage members to continue to reach out to us if you need assistance. If you have been impacted by COVID-19 (loss of job, hours cut, inability to work) and are having trouble paying your bill during this time, please contact our office immediately so that we may assist you.
Finally, we hope you and your family are staying safe during this time of unknown. We are here for you, and believe that when this is over, we will all be stronger than we were before.
