Being a member of Central has its benefits. These are just a few of the items that benefit members enjoy.

Patronage Capital

Central is a not-for-profit businesses. Any margins related to the sale of electricity remaining after all expenses have been paid are returned to our members in proportion to their electrical use. These margins, called patronage capital, are allocated each year by the board of trustees and retired to members.

Member Meetings

As member-owners of Central, we want you to be involved. To make this possible, we invite you to member meetings and events throughout the year. Each year, Central hosts Aware and Annual meetings to serve as opportunities to learn more about the cooperative, accomplish cooperative business, and receive updates about local, state and national issues affecting your cooperative.

Operation Round Up

Operation Round Up provides the cooperative the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our members and communities through philanthropic giving. Each month, Central members have the option to round up their electric bill to the nearest dollar. That extra change is put into the Central Electric Foundations and distributed as grants to individuals and organizations in the communities we serve. Visit the Operation Round Up page.

Payment Options

Central provides convenient payment options to our members. As a member of Central, the following payment options are available to you: pre-pay, by mail or in person, Paysite kiosks, over the phone, online with e-Bill, bank draft, average monthly payment. Learn more about the various payment options.

Safety First

Central is dedicated to safety; it is our highest priority. Follow Central on social media for safety tips. Central also offers safety programs for schools. Learn more about Central's Safety First initiative.
