After devastating high winds and wildfires swept through Central’s service area in March, leaving widespread damage, electric cooperatives from across the state sent mutual aid crews to assist with restoration efforts.
Thank you to our sister cooperatives and linemen from Kay Electric Cooperative, Northeast Electric Cooperative, Oklahoma Electric Cooperative and Tri-County Electric Cooperative. Linemen from these cooperatives worked tirelessly to repair downed power lines, broken and burnt poles and other damage to Central’s infrastructure to restore service as quickly and safely as possible for members.
“We are grateful for the assistance of these skilled crews who stepped up to help our members,” said Dewayne Drury, Central’s Director of Operations. “Thanks to their assistance, we restored power in a much quicker time frame.”
