Central Trustee, James Wells has completed coursework to earn the Credentialed Cooperative Director (CCD) certificate from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
The CCD certification requires completion of classes designed to provide basic knowledge and skills needed by cooperative directors. Course topics include director duties and liabilities, board role and responsibilities, strategic planning, financial decision making and understanding the electric utility business.
Earning the CCD certificate is a requirement trustees must achieve according to the cooperative's bylaws. Wells joined the Central board in 2020 as the District 6 Trustee. His district covers parts of Payne and Lincoln counties.
